Could our Universe be on the surface of a planet made of dark matter? Could black holes simply be tornadoes on the surface of this dark matter planet?
Just a thought...
Properties of a dark matter "planet" would be much different than we experience in our universe.
Dark matter "planets" could have properties exactly opposite of properties defining the "planets" in our Universe or they could have similar properties influenced by extreme gravity.
For example, heat from within the dark matter core would be predominantly used to harness energy in a dark matter world instead of light from an external sun. Energy would be predominantly tapped from within the dark matter core instead of an external energy source such as our sun.
Using a mirrored, dark matter "planet" model could be a first step in understanding the relationship with dark matter and our universe. Matrix algebra could be used to define physical differences between dark matter entities and physical entities existing in our universe at a quantum level.
To define a part in a Numerical Controls (NC) Programming language you have to define points in a virtual, three-dimensional plane surface the physical drill can reference to cut out the part. These points are defined within three-dimensional axes (x, y, z) coordinates of a virtual three-dimensional plane using a NC Programming computer language. To define the mirror image of the part you "scale" the axes of the coordinates by minus one (-1). All the points used to cut the part out would have exact "opposite" coordinates from the normal part locations defined using the virtual plane's three-dimensional (x,y and z) axes. Lines, circles and tangents (trigonometry) are used to define the path between the points for the part cutting drill to follow. The minus one translates an existing NC Programming part to a whole new, mirrored dimension of existence!

9.170 How do I render a mirror?
Render your scene twice, once as it is reflected in the mirror, then once from the normal (non-reflected) view. Example code demonstrates this technique.
For axis-aligned mirrors, such as a mirror on the YZ plane, the reflected scene can be rendered with a simple scale and translate. Scale by -1.0 in the axis corresponding to the mirror's normal, and translate by twice the mirror's distance from the origin. Rendering the scene with these transforms in place will yield the scene reflected in the mirror. Use the matrix stack to restore the view transform to its previous value.
Next, clear the depth buffer with a call to glClear(GL_DEPTH_BUFFER_BIT). Then render the mirror. For a perfectly reflecting mirror, render into the depth buffer only. Real mirrors are not perfect reflectors, as they absorb some light. To create this effect, use blending to render a black mirror with an alpha of 0.05. glBlendFunc(GL_SRC_ALPHA,GL_ONE_MINUS_SRC_ALPHA) is a good blending function for this purpose.
Finally, render the non-reflected scene. Since the entire reflected scene exists in the color buffer, and not just the portion of the reflected scene in the mirror, you will need to touch all pixels to overwrite areas of the reflected scene that should not be visible.
Just like in our universe, dark matter could have different states of existence in solid, liquid or gaseous forms. Positive or negative forces from within or external to the dark matter planet may influence behavior of existing dark matter entities.
With different states of dark matter and internal/external energy sources to transform dark matter into the different states of existence it is not unreasonable to believe dark matter "planets" exist with very different properties than our own planet.
The idea of our universe floating on the surface of a dark matter core no longer seems unreasonable.
The dark matter core or "planet" could exist in a fourth, mirrored dimension. Our universe could be a fluid ocean flowing on the virtual surface of a dark matter planet like our oceans on earth.
Another possibility...Our universe could be orbiting a dark matter core similar to an electron "shell" where electrons orbit around the nucleus of an atom.

Makes me wonder if the original Big Bang creating our universe really just forced our universe into a new outer "shell" revolving around a now, more stable, dark matter core like Bohr's Model predicts regarding electron behavior around an atomic nucleus.
I also wonder whether black holes are a part of a macroscopic decay process of matter into dark matter similar to how radioactive chemical elements (i.e. Uranium (U)), on earth, decay over thousands of years into a more dense and stable element of lead (Pb).
The highly compressed dark matter core is a place where little or no space exists. There may be several universes surrounding and feeding a massive dark matter core from the original Big Bang. The many black holes in each universe may merge into a single funnel as they reach the surface of the dark matter core. Perhaps the funnels of Black Holes from each universe is the way we become One again with God- just like before the Big Bang.

Under a highly compressed environment, at or near the core of the dark matter planet of our universe, I could see the different dark matter shells forming a shared, crystalline-like, anti-matter matrix between massively compressed anti-matter universes with little regard to space or time!
A compressed anti-matter core matrix structure could define a timeless heaven of sentient entities or "souls" sharing compressed, dark energy. Our universe, for example, would have an exact anti-matter clone at or near the center of the dark matter core. Dark Matter at the surface of our universe's core of existence may be actually protecting us from the anti-matter core. We already know when matter and anti-matter meet they instantly wipe out each other.
Conclusion
We use a simple three dimensional coordinate system and matrix algebra to define parts to cut out on a NC machine. The exact mirrored image of the part is a simple switch from positive to negative coordinates using matrix algebra and the exact same coordinate "addresses" used to define the existing part to be cut out.
It isn't a huge stretch in logic, with what we know today about genes in our DNA, to propose we all have a unique cosmic address in our universe. This unique address can be easily translated to an "anti-matter" mirrored image of ourselves in another dimension by "negating" our physical existence in the three dimensional world we live in through death.
Just like ocean currents cause swirling eddies and gyres within earth's oceans, our existence in this universe appears to be at the will of dark energy currents, in another dimension, swirling around a dark matter/anti-matter core.
The same body of dark matter causing black holes may also be protecting us from anti-matter. It makes sense when psychics say "souls" should "follow the light" to a calm heaven beyond our physical realm. If we followed the light into an anti-matter existence in our existing physical state we would be annihilated! :-)
Note: This is my model of the universe and beyond. Just like people first believed the world was flat. I encourage you to get out there in the universe and prove my model is wrong!
Update 10/3/2016: I forgot to mention where I dreamt up this image of our universe and beyond. My doctor told me when blood hits water it explodes. I remember seeing an image of blood splatter hitting water and it looked like my above drawing.
Makes sense to me.
You could think of blood as the anti-matter core exploding into a foreign substance (space). I would think anti-matter explodes further when it hits "space" because they don't mix leaving a wasteland of elementary particles we know as our universe. Also, blood exists in a highly compressed state in blood vessels being pumped around our bodies. My model of a dark matter/anti-matter core also lives in a highly compressed state. Therefore when anti-matter explodes it probably looks like blood exploding in water!
