Odd dream. Very clear. I was crossing a bridge. I was taking a close look at the crisscross pattern on the right side of the steel lattice bridge. In the distance was arid land with little vegetation.
This dream is symbolic of something in my life or future. I will search the internet to see if I can find an interpretation...
Bridge
To dream that you are crossing a bridge signifies an important decision or a critical junction in your life. This decision will prove to be a positive change filled with prosperity and wealth in the horizon. Bridges represent a transitional period in your life where you will be moving on to a new stage. If the bridge is over water, then it suggests that your transition will be an emotional one. If you fall off the bridge and into the water, then the dream indicates that you are letting your emotions hold you back and prevent you from moving forward. Alternatively, the bridge may indicate that you are trying to "bridge" or connect two things together. Reference: http://dreammoods.com/cgibin/dreamdictionarysearch.pl?method=exact&header=dreamsymbol&search=bridge

If one walks back from the water to the dry land in a dream, it means that he will satisfy his needs or fulfill his intentions. Reference: http://www.myislamicdream.com/river.html

Cool! Makes sense since I plan to retire soon so I can do more watercolor paintings...
Update 05/05/2014: I made it over the bridge and into retirement. I took this picture riding across a bike trail bridge in Idaho a little over five weeks after retirement because the steel girders on the bridge reminded me of this blog entry's dream. Coincidence? I don't think so. Come to think of it, the picture from the steel lattice bridge below was taken on 4/29/2014 because it was the first nice day after three days of rain- exactly three months after the dream. Amazing!

Update 5-7-2014: Taking a "Beginning Watercolor" class "post retirement". Here are my free hand paintings from the class so far. Fun!
